Trevellance Cottage, Bolingey . This beautiful, Grade 2 listed, Cornish cottage, is set in 2 acres of idyllic grounds, surrounded by mature trees and shrubs and yet is just a mile from Perranporth and its wonderful 3 miles of golden sands and surf. The excellent 17thC Bolingey Inn is just down the road and serves good food and local ales and the valley location of the cottage leads to many off-road walks. The cottage is full of charm and character and retains a wealth of original features including beamed ceilings, wooden floors and small paned, shuttered windows. The front entrance to the property is accessed by a small stone footbridge over a little stream, through the gate into the pretty, colourful front garden. There is a circular granite table and chairs and the garden is surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. The stable door of the cottage leads into the hall. To the right is the dining room and beyond, the kitchen/breakfast room. The kitchen has a good range of shaker-style units with solid slate work-tops, a built in oven, hob, dish-washer, microwave, fridge. In the breakfast room there is a circular solid oak table with wicker chairs. Beyond the kitchen is a utility room with a fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. The dining room has a solid pine table and 6 chairs, two dressers and an antique Cornish range. Off this room is a ground floor WC and wash-basin. French doors lead to the garden and grounds. The lounge with its beamed ceilings and feature stone fireplace with wood burning stove. The room is very comfortably furnished with 3 x 2 seater sofas, DVD and Skysat TV. A door leads to the conservatory/garden room with table and 8 chairs. Leading from this room is a single bedroom which is comfortably furnished with bed and furniture. Stairs from the hall lead to 3 further charming bedroms. The first double bedded room has built in furniture, chest of drawers and colour TV. A second double bedroom with furniture, also has a shower and wash-basin. This room leads to a pretty, single bedded room with furniture. Also on this floor is the family bathroom with bath and electric shower over, wash-basin and WC. An additional room on this floor serves as a study and wireless internet access is available for guests if required. Bed linen, towels, beach towels, hairdryer and all electricity included.
Description
The fenced garden area beyond the conservatory is for the exclusive use of the guests, it is laid to lawn with mature trees and shrubs, garden furniture and BBQ. An additional WC and wash-basin can be accessed from the garden. Further lawned areas (which are shared with the friendly owners, who live in a private property in a fenced off area of the grounds) leads to 2 ponds (although they are shallow, children must be supervised at all times, please). This area has free range chickens, ducks and geese. Any children staying are more than welcome to collect eggs and 'look after the livestock' if they wish! The property is accessed by a private drive which leads into the ample parking area/turning circle and 2 car ports. (There is free daily parking for one car in the centre of Perranporth).
